  3. It was pretty cold in the Chicagoland area a couple of weeks ago.  Usually Winnie is fine to ride in the car without a coat so long as the heat is on.  Apparently this is not true when it’s less than 15 degrees outside.  I restored to draping my scarf around the poor girl to stop her from shaking.  That worked!  I’ve since stashed one of her small Dream On Pet Blankets in the car to have on hand at all times in case she needs it.

  4. It’s Winnie Wednesday!  New on WTZT - Snow Day with Winnie (February 2013)

Winnie & I both love being outside in the winter.  My girl is such a snow bunny!  I thought we could show you how we get ready for a snow day, our favorite winter gear, and how we de-snow after a walk.  I hope you enjoy it!  Thanks for watching :)

Note - it looks like the Mascot website is not available right now.  Hopefully they’re still in business!  Winnie loves her Mascot jackets…

  10. I have a problem with forgetting things after I’ve gotten both me & Winnie suited up to go out in the cold for our morning walk.  I start heading down the hallway with her towards the front door and then 9 times out of 10 I have to turn right back around because I forgot my earmuffs/iPhone/poopie bags/brain.  Winnie has come to expect this and has taken to just plopping right back in bed as soon as I get her gear & leash on.  She knows we’re coming back for something so why start moving in the first place?
